North Sikkim is the home of high
passes, glaciers, lakes and of course. Mt Siniolchu,
the prettiest of all the Himalayan peaks, where the
land is full of legends, folklore and myths. Tsangu
Lake the alpine Lake at an elevation of 3780 meters,
situated at a distance of 38 Kilometers from Gangtok
is oval in shape, fifteen meters deep and considered
sacred by the people and remains frozen during
winter months. Place is the home for Red Panda,
along with various species of birds. Variety of
flowers in bloom can be seen during May and August. |

| Day 01: |
Bagdogra – Gangtok (1780
meters)
Arrival at Bagdogra and then drive to
Gangtok, the Capital of Sikkim. Transfer to
your hotel.

| Day 02: |
Sightseeing around the
place
Starting early in the morning we proceed
towards Rumtek Dharma Chakra (Rumtek
Monastery). On the way back, we visit;
Botanical Garden, Shanti View Point, Chorten
Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology,
Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms,
Flower Show, Ganesh Tok, Tashi View Point,
and Himalayan Zoological Park. We also visit
Enchey Monastery an important seat of the
Nyingmapa Order, built nearly 200 years ago
on a site blessed by Lama Druptok Karpo a
tantric monk known for his power of flying.

| Day 03: |
Visit Tsangu Lake
(3780 meters)
Morning drive to Tsangu Lake located at a
distance of about 38 kilometers from Gangtok
at an altitude of 3780 meters, which is oval
in shape and one kilometer long. Lake
remains frozen during winter. Variety of
flowers bloom in the region. Drive back to
Gangtok.

| Day 04: |
Gangtok – Lachen (2750
meters)
Drive from Gangtok to Lachen, a village
offering panoramic view of the surrounding
hills and country side. Lachen stands on a
grassy and bush flat from the periphery of
which rises the pine clad mountains with
their snowy peaks and black cliffs. The
village comprises of barely 150 houses
earlier inhabited only during winters by
their owners who spend the summers on the
alpine pastures along Tibet border tending
to their yaks. Sightseeing round the place.

| Day 05: |
Lachen – Lachung (2700
meters)
We proceed our morning drive towards Lachung.
We go through Chopta Valley and Thangu.
Thangu is a village at an altitude of 14,000
feet which is about three hours drive from
Lachen. It is the place for acclimatization
before proceeding towards Gurudongmar Lake,
Muguthang or Cho-Lhamu. Variety of alpine
flowers bloom in Chopta Valley and Thangu.
Lachung is a unique village with its self
governing body called D-Zumsa which
substitutes Panchayat. Place is a gateway to
Yumthang Valley at a distance of 25
kilometers.

| Day 06: |
Yumthang, Yumesamdong
and back
Drive to Yumthang which is at an altitude of
11,800 feet and popularly known as the
“valley of flowers”. This place is a
paradise for nature lovers which offers
fascinating blend of flora and fauna and
breathtaking scenic beauty, This valley is
the home for Shingbha Rhododendron Sanctuary
with 24 species of Rhododendrons. A hot
spring at the right side offers the
spectacular view with the vast spread of
green meadow and forest dressed in pine and
silver fir trees. We proceed further upto
Yumesamdong at an altitude of 16,000 feet,
which also offers the breathtaking scenario.
We drive back to Lachung.

| Day 07: |
Lachung – Gangtok
We drive back to Gangtok. On the way we
visit Phodong Monastery and Labrang
Monastery. Phodong Monastery is one of the
six major monasteries in Sikkim.

Gangtok – Bagdogra
Drive to Bagdogra for your journey back
home. |
