What is Included:

| Day 01: |
Bagdogra – Yuksom
(1780 meters)
Arrival at Bagdogra and then drive to Yuksom
the first Historic capital of Sikkim.
According to historical records, the first
King (Chogyal) was coronated by three
Tibetan Buddhist.monks here at a place
called Norbugang, where one can still see
the stone seats and footprints of the Head
Monk.

| Day 02: |
Sightseeing around the
place
Shortly after breakfast ; we go to visit
Dubdi Buddhist Monastery and Coronation
Throne. Dudbi Monastery is one of the oldest
monasteries in Sikkim which was presumably
build in 1700 A.D. Coronation Throne is the
place where first King (Chogyal) of Sikkim
was coronated.
After lunch ; we drive towards Tashiding to
visit Tashiding Monastery, which is famous
for its Bhumchu festival, celebrated with
devotees coming from far and near to get the
blessing of the holy water. We drive back to
Yuksom.

| Day 03: |
Yuksom – Pelling (2000
meters)
We drive to Pelling via Khecheopalri Lake,
which is considered a holy lake by both
Hindus and Buddhist.

| Day 04: |
Sightseeing around the
place
Shortly after breakfast we go to visit
Sangacholing Monastery situated on a ridge.
The monastery was built on 1697 A.D. and is
considered one of the oldest in Sikkim.
After Lunch at Hotel, we go to visit
Pemayangste Monastery and Rabdentse Ruins.
Pemayangtse Monastery was founded in 1705
A.D. Rabdentse Ruins was the second capital
of Sikkim.

| Day 05: |
Pelling – Rabongla
We drive towards Rabongla. We visit Bon
Monastery and Ralong Monastery.

| Day 06: |
Rabongla – Gangtok
We drive towards Gangtok the present capital
of Sikkim. On the way we visit Temi Tea
Garden, only a tea garden in Sikkim. We also
visit Samdruptse which means the “Wish
Fulfilling Hills”, on which stands a 135
feet statue of Guru Padmasambhava.

| Day 07: |
Sightseeing around the
place
Starting early in the morning we proceed
towards Rumtek Dharma Chakra (Rumtek
Monastery). We visit Botanical Garden,
Shanti View Point, Chorten Monastery,
Research Institute of Tibetology,
Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms,
Flower Show, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Tashi
View Point and Himalayan Zoological Park.We
also visit Enchey Monastery an important
seat of the Nyingmapa Order built nearly 200
years ago on a site blessed by Lama Druptok
Karpo, a tantric monk known for his power of
flying.

| Day 08: |
Visit Tsangu Lake
(3780 meters)
Morning drive to Tsangu Lake located at a
distance of about 38 kilometers from Gangtok
at an altitude of 3780 meters, which is oval
in shape and one kilometer long. Lake
remains frozen during winter. Variety of
flowers bloom in the region. Drive back to
Gangtok.

| Day 09: |
Gangtok – Lachen (2750
meters)
Drive from Gangtok to Lachen, a village
offering panoramic view of the surrounding
hills and country side.

| Day 10: |
Lachen – Lachung (2700
meters)
We proceed our morning drive towards Lachung.
We go through Chopta Valley and Thangu.
Thangu is a village at an altitude of 14,000
feet which is about three hours drive from
Lachen. It is the place for acclimatization
before proceeding towards Gurudongmar Lake,
Muguthang or Cho-Lhamu.
Lachung is Unique with its self govering
body called D-Zumsa which substitutes
Panchayat. A gateway to Yumthang Valley at a
distance of 25 kilometers.

| Day 11: |
Visit Yumthang
Yumesamdong and back
Drive to Yumthang which is at an altitude of
11,800 feet and popularly known as the
“valley of flowers”. This place is a
paradise for nature lovers which offers
fascinating blend of flora and fauna and
breathtaking scenic beauty, This valley is
the home for Shingbha Rhododendron Sanctuary
with 24 species of Rhododendrons. A hot
spring at the right side offers the
spectacular view with the vast spread of
green meadow and forest dressed in pine and
silver fir trees. We proceed further upto
Yumesamdong at an altitude of 16,000 feet,
which also offers the breathtaking scenario.
We drive back to Lachung.

| Day 12: |
Lachung – Gangtok
We drive back to Gangtok. On the way we
visit Phodong Monastery and Labrang
Monastery. Phodong Monastery is one of the
six major monasteries in Sikkim.

Gangtok – Bagdogra
Drive to Bagdogra for your journey back
home. |
