What is Included:

| Day 01: |
Bagdogra – Kalimpong
Arrival at Bagdogra and then drive to
Kalimpong by road which takes about 3 hours.
Kalimpong is another hill station which is
the sub-division of Darjeeling situated at
east direction. Road distance of Kalimpong
from Darjeeling via Peshoke road is 60
kilometers at an altitude of 4000 feet above
sea level. From Bagdogra it takes about 4
hours drive.(Overnight stay in Kalimpong) |
| Day 02: |
Sightseeing at
Kalimpong
A.M, After breakfast visit Delo View Point
in the Delo Hills. You can have a
magnificient view of the Khangchendzunga
mountain range and river Teesta meandering
down in the valley. On the way back visit
Mangal Dham a Hindu Temple and a Christian
Church built in a style of Tibetan
Monastery.
P.M, After Lunch Visit Zandok Palri Buddhist
Monastery located on top of Durpin Hills.
You can have a view of Kalimpong Town and
the Khangchendzunga mountain range from
here. On the way back visit flower
nurseries.Walk around the town. (Overnight
stay in Kalimpong) |
| Day 03: |
Kalimpong – Lava
Drive from Kalimpong to Lava at 35
kilometers. Lava is a small hamlet
surrounded by green forests and is ideal for
exploration, bird watching and viewing
natural habitats. Hike to Neora Valley
provides magnificient view of the mountains
extended to Bhutan Tibet border. Old
Bhutanese Fort captured by British during
Doars war is located near by. Back to Lava.

| Day 04: |
Lava – Lolegaon –
Kafer
Drive to Lolegaon and Kafer to have the view
of forest area with exotic flora and also to
have the excellent view of sunrise. Proceed
to Kalimpong.(Overnight stay in Kalimpong) |
| Day 05: |
Kalimpong – Melli –
Gangtok
Drive to Melli for white water raftings and
then drive to Gangtok. Gangtok is the
Capital of state Sikkim situated at an
altitude of 5500 feet.(Overnight stay in
Gangtok)

| Day 06: |
Sightseeing at Gangtok
Starting early in the morning we proceed
towards Rumtek Dharma Chakra (Rumtek
Monastery) and then visit other places of
interest on the way back. We visit Botanical
Garden, Shanti View Point, Chorten
Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology,
Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms,
Flower Show, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Tashi
View Point and Himalayan Zoological Park. We
also visit Enchey Monastery. (Overnight stay
in Gangtok) |
| Day 07: |
Gangtok – Tsangu Lake
– Gangtok
Morning drive to Tsangu Lake located at
distance of about 38 kilometers from Gangtok
at an altitude of 3780 meters, which is oval
in shape and one kilometer long. Lake
remains frozen during winter. Variety of
flowers bloom in the region. Drive back to
Gangtok.(Overnight stay in Gangtok) |

Gangtok – Lachen
Drive from Gangtok to Lachen. Lachen is a
village at an altitude of 2750 meters
offering panoramic view of the surrounding
hills and country side.(Overnight stay in
Lachen) |
| Day 09: |
Lachen – Chopta Valley –
Thangu – Lachung
Thangu is a village at an altitude of 14000
feet which is about 3 hours drive from
Lachen. It is the place for acclimatisation
before proceeding towards Gurudongmar Lake,
Muguthang or Cho-Lhamu.We proceed towards
Lachung. Lachung is a village at an altitude
of 8000 feet with its unique self governing
body called D-zumsa which substitutes
panchayat. A gateway to Yumthang valley at a
distance of 25 kilometers this village has
retained its unique culture and
tradition.(Overnight stay in Lachung) |
| Day 10: |
Lachung –
Yumthang – Yumesamdong – Lachung
Drive to Yumthang which is at an altitude of
11,800 feet and popularly known as the
“Valley of Flowers”. This place is a
paradise for nature lovers which offers
fascinating blend of flora and fauna and
breathtaking scenic beauty. This valley is
the home for Shingbha Rhododendron Sanctuary
with 24 species of Rhododendrons. A hot
spring at the right side offers the
spectacular view with the vast spread of
green meadow and forest dressed in pine and
silver fir trees. We proceed further up to
Yumesamdong at an altitude of 16,000 feet,
which also offers the breathtaking scenario.
We drive back to Lachung. (Overnight stay in

11: |
Lachung –
Gangtok
We drive back to Gangtok. On the way we
visit Phodong Monastery and Labrang
Monastery. Phodong Monastery is one of the
six major monasteries in Sikkim.(Overnight
stay in Gangtok) |
| Day 12: |
Gangtok - Pelling
Drive from Gangtok to Pelling at an altitude
of 2000 meters, a small village in the West
Sikkim. On a clear day you can see Mount
Khangchendzonga range just on the opposite
hill.
Visit Pemayangtse Monastery, a Buddhist
Monastery founded in AD 1705. Visit
Rabdanste Ruins, which was the second
capital of Sikkim. It is in a walking
distance from Pemayangste. From here the
view of the valleys below are very
scenic.(Overnight stay in Pelling) |
| Day 13: |
Pelling – Yuksom –
Pelling
Visit Yuksom, a small farming village, which
is 32 kilometers from Pelling. This place
was the first capital of Sikkim. According
to historical records, the first King (Chogyal)
of Sikkim was coronated, by three Tibetan
Buddhist monks, here at a place called
Norbugang, where one can still see the stone
seats and footprints of the head monk. You
can visit Dubdi Buddhist Monastery, which is
one of the oldest Monastery of Sikkim, It is
half an hour uphill walk. On the way visit
Khecheopalri Lake, which is considered a
holy lake by both the Hindus and Buddhist.

| Day 14: |
Peling – Darjeeling
We drive to Darjeeling at an altitude of
2134 meters. Darjeeling provides the perfect
ambience of hill resort with its mild
climatic conditions and laid back charms
which is still influenced by the British
India and carries the imprints reminiscent
of its colonial past. Behind Darjeeling
looms the Mount Khangchendzonga. Darjeeling
is famous for its Tea. (Over night stay in

| Day 15: |
Sightseeing at
Darjeeling
In Darjeeling.Early Morning visit Tiger Hill
to view sunrise over Mt Khangchendzonga, the
third highest mountain in the world. Height
(8595) meters. On the way back visit Yiga
Choling, the old Buddhist monastery, which
was built in 1880. Back to Hotel for
Breakfast.
A. M, Visit Tukvar Tea Estate to see tea
processing.(Darjeeling is renowned in the
world for its tea). On the way back to the
hotel visit Tibetan Refuge Self Help Center,
which was established in 1959 to
rehabilitate displaced Tibetans, who had
followed His Holiness the Dalai Lama to
India. It has now evolved into a
prime-manufacturing center for excellent
ethnic Tibetan handicraft especially Woollen
carpets.It also helps to preserve the
cultural heritage of Tibet.
Visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute
established in 1954 after the conquest of
Mount Everest to impart training in high
altitude mountaineering. There is a museum
on mountaineering, which you can visit.Visit
the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park
which houses many endangerd animals from the
Himalayan region. It is also a breeding
centre for Snow Leopards, Red Panda and
Tibetan Wolf.

Go for a walking visit to Bhutia Busty

| Day 16: |
Sightseeing at Darjeeling
A.M, Go for a joy ride till Ghoom, on the
world famous Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a
world heritage sight.
(Back to Hotel for Breakfast)
P. M, Free to pursue your own activities. OR
Go for a walk to Lloyd Botanical Garden.
It’s park, which houses many different
species of Trees form different parts of the
world. OR Walk along the Mall and market
area. (Over night stay in Darjeeling) |
| Day 17: |
Darjeeling – Mirik –
Darjeeling
Drive to Mirik at 1767 metres. Boat ride at
Sumendu Lake which is surrounded by a
beautifully maintaind garden on the eastern
banks and heavily forested ridge on the
west. A leisurely stroll along the
meandering cobbled path encircling the lake
is relaxing. Visit Rameetay Dara, Devi Sthan,
Deosi Dara, Orange Orchards. Drive back to
Darjeeling.(Overnight stay in Darjeeling) |
| Day 18: |
Darjeeling – Jaldapara
Wildlife Sanctuary
Leave Darjeeling for Jaldapara Wildlife
Sanctuary. It covers 216 sq km. It is home
to the Great Indain One Horned Rhinoceros.
Apart from Rhinoceros the wild life consist
of Royal Bengal Tiger, Wild Elephant, Bison,
Deer, Wild pigs, Crested Eagle, Pied
Hornbill, Python, Monitor Lizards. Etc.(Over
night stay in Jaldapara) |
| Day 19: |
Jaldapara – Bagdogra
Early in the Morning go for an Elephant
safari. After break fast go for a visit to
Totopara. Totopara is a small village, which
is home to the indigenous primitive Toto
tribe, who number just a couple of hundreds.

| Day 20: |
Jaldapara – Bagdogra
Drive to Bagdogra for your journey back
home. |
